Satoshi Kuwata has traveled extensively throughout Japan and the world, gathering unique expertise across visual traditions. Having lived in Kyoto, Paris, Milan, London, and New York, he developed a distinctive style, infused with deep knowledge and respect for diverse cultures and craftsmanship in all its forms. His career includes collaborations with Givenchy, Edun, Kanye West, and Gareth Pugh, as well as refining his tailoring skills at institutions such as H. Huntsman & Sons on Savile Row in London. A fishing enthusiast, he dresses with the same spirit whether in a Milan studio or fishing in Gabon. Satoshi Kuwata received the 2023 LVMH Prize. In 2024, he collaborated with Davies & Son to create a bespoke collection, which was showcased in Venice during the opening of the Art Biennale.

In January 2025, SETCHU was invited to show at Pitti Immagine Uomo. In June of the same year, he made his catwalk debut in Milan for the SS26 collection.

In September 2025, the brand launched its first fragrance collection at Pitti Fragranze in Florence, Italy, and currently showcases the collections during Milan Men’s Fashion Week in January and June.
