Deanna Ferretti Veroni

Founder Miss Deanna and Modateca Deanna

Deanna Ferretti Veroni’s career in fashion began in Reggio Emilia over 40 year ago when she founded Miss Deanna. She was only 24 years old when she first met Kenzo, with whom she established a professional relationship which lasted for over 20 years. During the 70s, she began collaborating with the likes of Yves Saint Laurent, John Ashpool, Giorgio Correggiari and Gianni Versace. In the 80s, she created, produced and distributed the collections of Adrienne Vittadini, Krizia, Enrico Coveri and Joseph Tricot– whose collections were designed by John Galliano and John Richmond– and started new collaborations with Giorgio Armani, Claude Montana, Irié and Max Mara.

In 1986 she showed in Milan her own label, Pour Toi a knitwear brand teaming with Luca Coelli, Sam Rey and Anna Piaggi as Art Director. In the 90s, whilst consolidating previous collaborations, she started working on new creative projects such as the development of collections for Martin Margiela, Gai Mattiolo, Valentino, Neil Barrett, Lawrence Steele, Matthew Williamson, Prada, Angelo Figus, Julien MacDonald, Yohji Yamamoto and Dries Van Noten.

Deanna Ferretti Veroni is one of the most significant and internationally wellknown figures in the knitwear field. She is extremely supportive of young designers and is often a member of the jury in the most important fashion contests in the world.
